I xant to thank you for.puttinq Drafts 2 and :3 of Bill i63 to:-• ?
rest. Though I feel that it was poor timing to add amendments to
Draft 1, I still believe that we must pass Draft 9. We can then, ~ -x
as a community, get on as quickly as possible with a proper
amendment process followed by vigorous regional planning that will
point our representatives and'our comnluni'fies in the direction of
strong, enforceable planning before it is too late.
Once again, I appreciate being able to take part in the Council
proceedings by video conferencing. Though I look forward to a time
in the very near future when West Hawaii gets its fair share of
local council hearings, it is certainly a breath of fresh air to
be able to take a more active part in my island's democratic
process.
Mahalo for you consideration of my views ar,d fcr putting planning ,
of our island communities as a priority in your tenure as island
representatives. jy
