Re: Bill 18 (Draft 3)!Green Waste Recycling
Dear Sir,
I am writing in suppgrt of bill 18 and the continuing efforts of the county to meet the f
needs of our island waste disposal system. The fee schedule proposed is fair and
modest. It is assumed from the reading that all citizens both private and commercial
will be charged. Although the bill does not specifically address the actual
expenditure of the fees, we in Kona have wondered about the elTiciency of the
currant operation and I wonder in what degree these fees will help. A final note of
great concern to me is that the "specified County green waste collection area" be
centrally located in each community as exemplified by the currant Kealakehe site.
The Bill does not cleazly address this question.
