As both a resident of South Kohala and a member of the Kawalhae Canoe GIuD, I am greatly concerned about the impacts of the SupeAerry, both on the harbor itseH, the community of Kawaihae, and roads and related sennces in South Kohafa. I want to stress that I am not against tha 3uperferry. I woukt probaby be a user or its services, however it ie clear from the meeting I have attended end articles I have read, that the impacts of the Supertt?rry have not t>Faen Cleary thought out, planned for and addressed. 1 hope that by the Hawaii County Council taking a stand to requite an environmental aeaeasmertt before the proposed SupeAerty is funded and permitted, and that many of the impec'ts of oan ne ttl0ughlfuny addroaeed end adequate planning cempleted.
