For months I have asked qucstians ro which I cannot receive aaswees. In addition, HSP nays oae [lung, DOT savs
another, and the Hazbors Division says yet another. These agencies should all be working together; no[ independca.b .
Tbis project is being pushed thmugb too quickly. The potential of negative impact on both out island and the
surrounding waters has not been addressed. Traffic, proper staging areas, pollution, marine life, interference witb
recrea[ional harbor saes, and many other conceme have not been addresxd.

Councilman, the CEO of HSF says that if his permits and funding are not granud by June, the deal is dead. If this
venture is as good as it's presented m be, I feel confident iri~cstors will wait for our ekMed o9'icials and the citizens ag,

And finally, the fact that HSF is asking For both State and Fcdera] finding should, by itself, be reason for HSF to
prepare the EIS. Udess I'm mistaken (and I don't mind beiug rnrrected), I don4 know tha[ atry of our airlines or
shipping companies have gotten gavemmeat funding to start their businesses.
please. Our environment is not something to be taken lightly. Six to f2 months of studies can help us prevent ~~ears
problems down the road. All too often, mistakes with the environment cannot be cotncted.
