After attending a PUC public hearing, a Transportation
Department meeting, and a "talk story" session with Big ~,Cr~
island Legislators, it has become clear that there is not
sufficient information to allow this project to proceed
without a detall~d EIS.
We have bean unable to find nut exactly
what is proposed. We have raised issues relating to
traffic, safety, impact on recreational uses of the
harbors, outrigger canoe paddling, public use Of
shorelines, whales and dolphins. The answers have
been contradictory or non-existent.
Please support a resolution requiring
the Super Ferry to prepare an EIS.
