RE: Extension of Time For Kealakekua Development Corporation
Ordinance 95-70 (REZ 798)
Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members,
Over the past several years, we have had the pleasure of
sharing ideas with Kealakekua Development Corporation (KDC). They
have spent extensive time working with the local community to bring
forth a quality and well planned project.
It is no secret that the Asian economy is currently facing
many challenges. This, coupled with the struggles of our local
economy, does not provide the conditions which warrant
implementation of KDC's development plan at this time.
We are familiar with their proposed development and believe it
continues to be viable and beneficial to our community.
Our membership sincerely urges your approval of the extension
of time which KDC is requesting.
