Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 48, reports as follows:
Bill No. 48, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 144.
dated March 2, 2005, amends Ordinance No. 04-75, as amended, the capital budget, ending
June 30, 2005, by adding the following project:
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT:
Queen Lili'uokalani Large Capacity 110-699-5697.88 $500,000
Cesspool Replacement
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $500,000
Fund Balance and/or other Sources
This appropriation is to increase the existing project s appropriation for the design in order to
connect the Queen Li]i'uokalani Subdivision, which is currently serviced by large capacity
cesspools, to the County sewer system via Kealaka`a Street and Kealakehe Parkway.
Pursuant to Section 10-6(d), f Iawai'i County Charter, the council may amend the capital budget
for that year with atwo-thirds vote.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee ou Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 48 and
recommends it pass first reading.
