RE: Papaya Quarantine Program
Attached are a resolution and a bill authorizing the
Administration to participate with the State Department of
Agriculture and the Research Corporation of the University
of Hawaii in a demonstration "Quarantine Program".
Besides authorization to participate in the project, the
resolution also authorizes the County to enter into a five
year lease with Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate and the
subletting of said lands to permittees.
The bill amending the Operating-Budget for the Department
of Research and Development establishes the means by which
funds will be received and e$pended by the County.
