SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
KILAUEA AVENUE -ADJUSTMENTS TO EXISTING NO PARKING ZONES
The Department of Public Works, Traffic Division, is planning to install channelization improvements
along Kilauea Avenue to improve traffic safety at its intersections with Lanikaula Street and Kawili
Street. Parking regulations along Kilauea Avenue between Aupuni Street and Ohea Street must be
adjusted to implement the proposed improvements.
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28
(no parking at anytime) and Section 24-281, Schedule 29 (parking prohibited during certain hours) under
subsection (c) South Hilo be amended as described in [he attached draft for an ordinance.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you have any
