Re: Operating Budget
At the March 16, 2005 County Council meeting, Bill 40, which appropriated the General
Fund's Fund Balance, was amended to Draft 4 to include $20,000 for the streetlights in
District 3 and $25,000 in District 4.
At the April 6, 2005 County Council meeting, Draft 6 of Bill 40, which passed 2"d and final
reading, included $37,000 for the Volcano Charter School shoulder-paving project, $25,000
for streetlights in the Ainaloa Subdivision, and $65,000 for streetlights in District 2.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating a total
of $172,000 to the Streetlights OCE and Puna Road OCE accounts within the Highway
Fund.

Amend Ordinance 04-74 for the Highway Fund as follows:
020.3609.11 Transfer from General Fund 172,000
020.301.5301.62.115 Puna Rd OCE 37,000
020.281.5281.32.115 Streetlights OCE 135,000
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED)
At the March 16, 2005 County Council meeting, Bill 40, Draft 4 was transmitted to include $20,000 for the
streetlights in District 3 and $25,000 in District 4.
At the April 6, 2005 County Council meeting, Bill 40, Draft 6 was transmitted and approved to include
$37,000 for the Volcano Charter School shoulder-paving project, $25,000 for streetlights in the Ainaloa
Subdivision and $65,000 for streetlights in District 2.
We are requesting these funds be appropriated in the Highway Fund.
