Re: Donation to the Police Department
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $500 from the Kona Coast
Resort, 78-6842 Ali'i Drive, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740. The funds will be used for the
Hawaii County Police Department's Special Response Team.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
the $500 monetary donation into the Police Department's Administrative Division OCE
account.

Request Council approval to accept $500 cash donation from the Kona Coast Resort for the Hawaii County
Police Departments Special Response Team.
Request appropriation of expenditure of above funds to Account 010.201.5203.02.231 Police Admin Div-
OCE Public Safety Supplies.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED)'
As indicated in the attached letter from Kona Coast Resort, the donation is being given in appreciation of the
services provided by the Department's Special Response Team. The donation will be used to defray the
cost of supplies for the Special Response Team.
