Subject: Testimony on Bill 80 - in favor
Aloha members of the Hawaii County Council, Mayor Kim, and Planning
Director Yuen,
i wish to go on record as wholeheartedly supporting the passage of Bill 80.
it is long past time to stop the arbitrary and destructive subdivision
of our agricultural lands for speculative residential construction and
other non-agricultural uses. At present it is much, much too easy to do
so with no public oversight or input whatsoever.
Any requests to convert agricultural lands to other uses need to go
through a full and complete re-zoning process.
Please vote to pass Bill 80.
mahalo,
