Re: Bi1179, Relating to Purchase of Open Space Land
Please pass Bill 79 which would appropriate approximately $10 million to `x'
purchase land which would remain open and undeveloped.
We are experiencing extreme] ra id development here on the Big Island
and must move quickly to pre~open land and open space for future
generations. Passive or active enj:: vment of open land, natural habitats,
waterways, flora and fauna ;tre especially important here, where many
species are endangered and open space is "closed" or built upon at a rapid
pace.
