RE: STRUNG SUPPORT OF Bill 79
Aloha. My name is Ku Kahakalau and my family and I are residents of Kukuihael
located right above Waipi'o Valley in Hamakua.
1 am testifying in strong support of Bill 79, which will authorize a $10 million bond Hoar
buy and preserve open space.
On an island with obviously limited resources and seemingly uncontrolled growth, it rs
essential that we reserve areas for public use as well as areas of open space necess,tr~
for the rejuvenation of our island's precious resources
Me ke aloha nui,
Ku Kahakalau, Ph.D.
