We ask that you support these bills financially as well to assure this issue is monitored carefully in the future, so that our beautiful island maintains its rapidly disappearing open space, and does not become increasingly the place for speculators and developers who may not have the best interest at heart in the land and its people. Particularly important is that land be appropriately labeled and used for the benefit of less financially endowed people in our community, not those who are more interested in excessive profit for their own interests, aver- inflating property pricesso that they are available for purchase or use only by the rich, not to the ordinary farmer or households in need of homes and farms to survive and thrive, and thus contribute to our economy in a just way. Thank you for voting for these important Bills. Sincerely -Gay Leah Barfield, PO Box 737, Mt. View, Hawaii 96771. ~7 ` cam. No. 208.3~s Ref. Ta 7'[91lppR_ i Ref.
