I attended the public hearing on April 10 here in Kona and came away with the definite fee~iii~that=gre
have just got to stop all RE-ZONING of ag lands until a Community (regional) Plan can be=develo ed
by the citizens. -
While this sort of development is badly needed, and it even is in a "good" spot - for infilling and
stopping urban sprawl, the only method you have to help our traffic problems is to NOT support any re-
zoning. There are enough permitted developments already.
So, I ask that you vote NO whenever this comes backup on the agenda.
And then get very serious about putting together a standardized process for each Community/Regional
Plan district to use and let them get to work. Time is short for that - I hope it can be completed within
the next 18 months while you all are still in office. Please get that done, while you vote NO on the Pua'a
and nearby rezonings.
