Re: Confirmation of William E. Smith for Deputy County Clerk
Dear Honorable Council Members:
I regret not being able to give this input in-person, however, I ask that you consider
this written support with equal weight.
1 have worked with Bill for over six and a half years at the County of Hawaii
Prosecutor's Office. During this time I have been able to work with Bill and see Bill's
character. As a prosecutor, he tempers his advocacy with compassion. Bill is dedicated
and hard working. He is always well prepared. Bill is detail-oriented but makes decisions
with the "big-picture" in mind.
I whole-heartedly support the confirmation of William E. Smith for Deputy County
Clerk. 'thank you for your time and consideration.
