Re: Amendment to Ordinance No. 04-75, as amended, Relating to Public Improvements
and Financing Thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005
(Pahala Tennis Court Lighting z.nd Improvements)
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 04-75, as amended,
the Public Improvements and Financing Budget, which appropriates $38,000 for the
Pahala Tennis Court Lighting and Improvements project. Ordinance OS-51 (Bill 40, Drafr
6), which was approved at the April 6, :?005 County Council meeting, appropriated a
portion of the General Fund's Fund Balance to the Capital Projects Fund.

RE: Request to Waive Amendment to Ordinance No. 04-75, as amended, Relating to Public
Improvements and Financing Thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005
Pursuant to Section 1(g) of Rule 4 of the Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, I
request your support for waiver of this mab:er from my Committee on Finance for consideration
and approval by the full Council at its next scheduled meeting on May 4, 2005.
Enclosed is a memorandum dated April 21.2005, from Bob Jacobson, Member, Hawaii County
Council, requesting consideration of a bill for an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 04-75, as
amended, to include funding for the Pahala Tennis Court Lighting and Improvements. Action
requested: Amendment to the Public Im~~provemeots ordinance to include the Pahala Tennis
Court Lighting and Improvements to thu Full Council.
It is advantageous that approval is granted =or this matter to be placed onto the next Council
agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I
understand the matter shall be referred to tfie Committee on Finance for placement on its future
agenda.
