Subject: Hawaii County Request for Proposa12146
Financing, Design, Construction and Operation of a Sort Station and/or Municipal
Solid Waste Reduction Facility for the Department of Environmental
Management County ofHawai'i
Resolution 218-04 outlined a timetable for ongoing communication with the Council and the
Department of Environmental Management on the subject of Waste Reduction Technologies and
the procurement of these services. As you know, the subject was discussed in Executive Session
on Apri120, 2005.
In order to provide the Council Members with an opportunity to discuss the subject in detail, and
to comply with all State procurement laws, I am requesting the subject of Hawaii County
Request for Proposal #2146 be placed on the Council agenda, in Executive Session, at your
earliest convenience.
