3t4ii E~I~~A~, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHIF~I~A~, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney rely on their Westlaw online legal research service
subscription for their trial preparation; and
WI~`II~~Ii~A~, their current Westlaw subscription agreement will expire on July 31, 2005; and
W@-I~I~I~AS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year subscription agreement with Thompson
West for the Westlaw online legal research service for a period beginning August 1, 2005 and ending on
July 31, 2010.

Mayor is hrereby authorized to enter into ~ five (5);year Westlaw subscription agreement and that sufficient
funds be budgeted in future fisca! years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of
the agreement.
