Arakaki Council Member ~ Date: April 29, 2005 Subject: Waiakea-Uka Park Comfort Station Enclosed for your review and approval is a bill amending Ordinance 04-75, appropriating $20,000 for the construction of a comfort station in Waiakea-Uka Park. Ordinance OS-51 (Bill 40, Draft 6) is the funding source for this request. Currently, Ordinances 03-90 and 04-75 for a total of $120,000 are on the Capital Fund Status Report of February 28, 2005. The Park is heavily used and is in need of the restroom facilities during the weekends and evenings. The project will be moving forward as the drawings have been approved and the permit process should commence shortly. Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above referenced matter be waived from the Committee on Finance to the full council for immediate action. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be refen~ed to the Committee on Pinance for placement on its future agenda.
