Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(5), Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, we
request attorney-client confidential discussion in executive session to consult
with the County Council on questions and issues pertaining to its powers, duties,
privileges, immunities and liabilities regarding the legal representation of Captain
Lawrence Balberde and Officers Michael Hardie, Sherry Bird, Walter Ah Mow,
Michael Corum, Sharlotte Bird, Thomas Shopay and Chad Taniyama in the
above-entitled matter. We ask that this case be placed on the council's agenda
