Murashige, Laura
From: Marjorie Erway [merway@hawaii.rr.com]
Sent: Monday, May 09, 2005 10:17 PM
To: counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us
Subject: testimony re: Bills 29, 30, 31, and 32 -May 17th - 1 pm -Co. Council Planning Committee
Aloha Co-chairs Pilago and Hoffman and Committee Members!
I urge you NOT to support Bills 29, 30, 31, and 32. It's a really
tough "call", I suppose for you to make. But I feel that we have

just got to stop all RE-ZONING of ag lands until a Community
(regional) Plan can be developed by the citizens and there is a real ,
"plan" for the area.
Even though this sort of development is badly needed, and it may be
m a "good" spot -for infilling and stopping urban sprawl, the only
method you have, right now, to help our traffic problems is to NOT
support any re-zoning.
So, I ask that you vote NO on these bills. Please have the courage

and strength that it will take to vote NO. Many Kona people would be
most happy. There are enough permitted developments already.
Mahalo,
Marjorie Erway
PO Box 2807
Kailua-Kona, HI 96745

808-324-4624
Comm.
