Please review the attached bill, which includes amendments for consideration.
The proposed amendments are designed to insure that the Preservation Fund has a
specified amount appropriated each year for five yeazs, that a cap is placed on the
fund and that "leveraging" is highlighted as a preferred method for expenditures.
The specific amendments in Ramseyer format are as follows:
(c) In adopting each fiscal yeaz's budget and capital budget, the
(1) The Council shall avprovriate $2,000,000 from the
County General Fund to the Public Access. Oven Space,
and Natural Preservation Fund for a ceriod of not more
than five years.
(2) The Public Access, Oven Space, and Natural
Resources Preservation Fund shall not exceed $6,000,000
at anytime.
(3) Expenditures from the Fund shall consider
"leveragine" as the primary method of maximizing the
County investment in all transactions.
