In the face of unplanned growth, it is equally important that we preserve marginal, fragile, or historically significant lands for future generations. The legacy we leave to future generations indicates our priorities. Many of us are concerned that Hawaii Island is following the same unsustainable path as Maui and Oahu. Let's stop this before it is too late and preserve important lands so they cannot be developed. We have plenty of space here on the Big Island for development, so let's be careful how we do it and let's be proper stewards of this place we call home.
