I am against cetending the rights to develop this property fbr another 10 yru~s. We who arc residents of Waikoloa Village arc now dealing with the result of such open-ended agrecme nts with the Castle and Cook development. hhcsc additional 700+ units with no contribution to the infYaslructure of the village will cause sa~ious problems for the village. We don't want to he slack with a similar situation ten years down the road. Additionally, there is obviously no need for another golf course here so close to the W V course. one which is currently not fully utilaized. If the 10-year c~tcnsion is granted, it should only he allowed with the raµiircment that the developer will also supply adequate infiastructurc to handle the additional population in this area. This should include traflic cxmtrol, fire protection. parks, a community center and a gas station. Thank you tix presenting this letter to the Council.
