HAWAII COUNTY COllI?, RF,LATING TO FEES FOR COPIES OF PUBLIC RECORDS.
BI? IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THF, COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION l . Chapter 2, Article 17, Section 2-104, Hawaii County Code is amended to read as
follows:
Section 2-104. Fees for copies of public records.
Except as otherwise provided, a copy or extract of any public document or record which is
open to inspection of the public shall be furnished to any person applying for the same by the
public officer having custody or control thereof pursuant to the following schedule of fees:
(a) Duplicated copy of any record (by duplicating machines, including, but not limited to.
microfilm printer,'fhermofax, Verifax, Xerox, Offset, Mimeograph, etc.):

(b) Abstract of information from public record:

requesting this service upon the payment of a fee; provided however, the fee will not be
applicable to an owner or lessee making an inquiry concerning his own property or

SECTION 2. Material to he repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need
not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application. and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
S[?CTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect on .iuly I, 2005.
