Re: Operating Budget, FY2005-06 _
Transfer to Open Space Fund
Dear Chairperson Higa and Council Members:
I would like to request that you amend the proposed operating budget for the General Fund by
setting aside $1,000,000 to be transferred to the proposed Public Access, Open Space, and
Natural Resources Preservation Fund. To balance this appropriation, please increase the
revenue anticipated from prior year fund balance by an equal amount. The Finance
Department advises me that the most recent projections of revenues will allow this
appropriation.
