Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of fourteen (14) "Liberty Coats" and
twenty-four (24) "Liberty Pants" for the Hawaii County Fire Department. These
firefighter "turnouts" or protective clothing is being donated by the Cooper Center
Council, P.O. Box 1000, Volcano, Hawaii 96785, to support the volunteer fire program
and they have an estimated total value of $19,591.

A. REQUEST:
Prepare a resolution authorizing the acceptance of firefighter "turnouts" or protective clothing, valued at
approximately $19,591 from the Cooper Center Council. Please transmit a letter of appreciation and a copy

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Cooper Center, anon-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization, received a donation from the Gaspro
Company of 14 "Liberty Coats" in assorted sizes, and 24 "Liberty Pants' also in assorted sizes. The Cooper
Center Council is donating these items to the County of Hawaii Fire Department for use in the Volunteer
Firefighter program.
