Re: Waiakea-Uka Comfort Station Project -Additional Appropriation
Dear Council Member Arakaki:
Thank you for the opportunity to review and provide comments on the draft bill to amend the
capital budget by appropriating an additional $20,000 for the comfort station at Waiakea-iJka
Park. I understand that volunteers will be constructing the restroom and that the County
funds, which will total $140,000, will cover the necessary materials and other costs.
I have discussed this with the Department of Parks and Recreation, and they support this
appropriation. The necessary funds have been set aside from excess fund balance in Bill 40,
Drafr 6. Therefore, I support this bill.
