Unfortunately, I was unable to re-schedule a prior commitment. With regard to implementing Bill 78, I think it would be most helpful if explicit criteria are used to prioritize land for funding. Criteria for prioritizing land helps to make the decision process transparent and easy to re-visit. These criteria can be decided by each district and do not need to be the same, since each district has its own needs, and certainly can be changed if it makes sense to do so. I do not think the criteria need to be formally created or approved, but they do need to be explicit and documented, so everyone understands why certain lands were chosen. Again, I wish I could be there today in-person to thank you for working together to help establish an important tool which will be used to Create a legacy of open space and economic opportunity for all future generations.
