Dear Chairman Arakaki:
Re: Resolution Authorizing Acquisition of Properties
Papaikou Sewer System
Enclosed please find a resolution authorizing the County to commence condemnation
proceedings for an additional six (6) easements in the Papaikou sewer system. These easements
were necessary due to the changes made in the design in order to accommodate residents or make
improvements to the system. The work has already been completed via rights-of--entry entered
into with the affected tenants. However, the County needs to approve the condemnation
proceedings in order that we may pay the residents for these additional easements.
Your early attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.
