We thank you for your consideration of Resolution 95-05 and respectfully encourage
you to pass the resolution"
Public funding is a fair, accountable and successful way to fund political campaigns. It
is refreshing and encouraging to members of the public, who increasingly support public
funding, to have elected officials such as you who are willing 1o be visionary and
supportive of public funding. Among the marry benefds, public funding is an excellent
way to give the people of Hawaii a greater local voice in government"
Many of our strongest supporters and volunteers are from communities on Hawaii
Island, from students at UH Hilo to AARP members throughout the Island.
Once again, mahalo nui loa for your support and we encourage you to pass Resolution
95-05.
