Dear Chairman Higa and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Diana Miller of Council District 6 to the County
of Hawaii Environmental Management Commission. Ms. Miller is a 10-year
resident of Hawaii who is currently employed with the Department of Education
as a substitute teacher. From 1979 to 2004, she worked as a staff officer with
the Department of Defense, US Air Force. Ms. Miller is a board member of the
Hawaiian Acres Community Associartion. She states that she is a Democrat. If
confirmed, Ms. Miller will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2009. She will
replace Mr. David Frankel whose term expired on December 31, 2004,
