Re: Acceptance of Donation
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 1$-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which authorizes
the Council, on behalf of the County, to accgpt gifts or donations of personal property, and with
(2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), ~f the Hawaii County Code, which states that any
donation or gift which does not fall within the' capitalization procedures of the department of finance
shall be submitted to the council by letter fort, its approval, we request the Council's approval of the
following donation:
A monetary donation of $79 to the Department of Parks 8 Recreation, to be used towards
program enhancement at the Pu`ueo Co munity Center/Wainaku Gym Complex under the
direction of Scott Oune, Recreation Director II, by The Young at Heart dance group from
Kamana Senior Center (which uses the fajcility for dance practices), c/o Ms. Michi
Nagashima, P.O. Box 763, Kea`au, Hawai`'i 96749.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor.
If there are any questions, please do not he$itate to call the recipient Department.
