Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 109-05, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 109-05, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 296, dated May 27, 2005, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Cooper Cuter
Council.
The Cooper Center Council has graciously donated fourteen Q4) "Liberty Coats" and
twenty-four (24) "Liberty Pants" to the Hawaii County Fire Department, Volunteer Fire
program. The value of the donation is estimated at $19,591.
Pursuant to Article X[II, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal properly.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Ms. Linda L. Ugalde, President, Cooper Center
Council P.U. Box 1000, Volcano, Hawaii 96785. acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 109-0~
and recommends its adoption.
