Re: Resolution Transferring Funds
Enclosed is a resolution transferring $6,000 out and from the Police -Special Duty - OCE
account and crediting it to the new Police -Special Duty -Equipment account. This
transfer requires Council approval as the equipment base account does not exist in the
current operating budget. Funds are needed to purchase computer equipment for the two
(2) Special Duty clerks as their current ones are outdated and inefficient.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Hawaii County Police
Department.

A. REQUEST:
Request a Resolution to transfer $6,000 from Police Special Duty - OCE 010.201.5215.82 to Police Special
Duty -Eqpt 010.201.5215.86 to purchase computer equipment for the 2 Special Duty Clerks.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The current computer equipment being used by the two (2) Special Duty Clerks is outdated and slow. One
computer was purchased 10 years ago and the other was 7 years ago. Purchasing new computer
equipment for the clerks, would enable them to work more efficiently and increase their productivity.
