Aloha, Council Chairman Higa and the full County Council:
We are writing i.n support of Bil] 11.6 which would appropriate $3,100,000 for acquisition of
Wai~aha Beach (Honl's Beach) irr Kailua-Kona.
West Ha wai.~i hurts for the Lack cf prote c_ion of its natural resources. Residents and
visitors are squeezed into posta]-sized pockets of. beach, as yet unprotected for the public
for future use.
We trust that this measure will find litt Le or no resistance either from our representatives
on the east or west side of this island.
Mahalo for your vote in favor of protection by acquisition of this oceanfront parcel of land
which is so be]oved and used so extensive Ly by the people of this island.
