Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 129-05, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 129-05, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 349, dated July 5, 2005, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Rotary Club of
Kona Mauka.
The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka has graciously donated an Ohana Billiards Rockwell pool table
to the Department of Parks and Recreation's Yano Senior Center. The value of this donation is
estimated at $2,500.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawai`i County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Ms. Elina Grugier, President, Rotary Club of Kona
Mauka, c/o FHB, 74-5973 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i 96740, acknowledging this
generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 129-05
and recommends its adoption.
