No. 132-05 PLACE: Council Chambers TIME: 9:04 a.m. Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, Ilawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 132-05, reports as follows: Resolution No. 132-05, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 118 by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 355, dated July 8, 2005, authorizes the Office the Prosecuting Attorney to accept$5,000 from the Hawai`i Community Foundation for the Na Leo O Na `Opio Youth Action Summit. The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney has been awarded a$5,000 grant from the Hawai`i Community Foundation for its sponsorship of the Na Leo 0 Na `Opio Youth Action Summit, where students from high schools throughout the island are provided leadership and team building training with the primary focus on addressing problems that face youth. The funds will be allocated to each school that participates. There was no discussion on this measure. Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gift's or donations of money, securities, or other personal property or real estate or any interest in real estate. A letter of appreciation along with a copy of this resolution will be sent to the Hawai`i Community Foundation, 1164 Bishop Street, Suite 800, Honolulu, Hawai`i, 96813.
