Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 120 reports as follows:
Bill No. 120, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 357,
dated July 8, 2005, amends Ordinance No. 05-86, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending
June 30, 2006. The amendment appropriates $18,420 as follows:

In 2004, the State Legislature appropriated funds to compensate the County of Hawai`i and the
other three counties for issuing parking placards under the Statewide Program on Parking for
Persons with Disabilities. Previously, the State released 50 percent of the Hawai`i County's
share ($18,420), which was appropriated by Ordinance No. 05-15 in January 2005. On June 30,
2005, the County was notified by the State of Hawai`i Department of Health-Disability and
Communication Access Board that the remaining funds had been released.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 119 and
recommends it pass first reading.
