Subject: Resolution 141-05, Draft 2
At the Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations Committee meeting on August 2,
2005, Council Member Gary Safarik made a friendly amendment to change Verizon
Hawaii, Inc. to Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. According to published reports, Hawaiian Telcom
took over operations on May 3, 2005. Resolution 141-05, Draft 2, reflects this change in
ownership and company name. Further, in the final clause, Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. is
added to the list of addresses where copies of this resolution are to be forwarded to.
