Higa, Chairman and Members of the Hawaii County Council Hawaii County Council 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, Hawaii 96720 Re: Resolution Transferring Funds Enclosed is a resolution transferring $11,976 out and from the Clerk-Council Services -Contingency Relief account and crediting it to the Department of Parks and Recreation's Aquatics Pools Salaries and Wages account. At the County Council meeting held on June 1, 2005, funding for a swimming instructor, position no. 3901, was removed from the Parks and Recreation's budget and placed into the Contingency Relief account. The Aquatics Division requests that the funding for this position be restored so that additional swimming lessons can be offered at the Kona Community Aquatic Center. As previously instructed by Council Vice Chair Virginia Isbell, we would like to request a waiver from the Finance Committee and have this resolution heard at the Council meeting scheduled for August 17, 2005. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review.
