RF.: A Bill for an Ordinance Amending Chapter 20, Article 4, Section 20-46, Hawaii County
Code 1983 (2005 Edition), Relating to Solid Waste Fees.
During the course of our recent review and update of the Hawaii County Code, we occasionally
noted inadvertent errors in the code, which we are now seeking to correct.
Consequently, transmitted for the Council's consideration is a bill that replaces language that
was inadvertently deleted from section 20-46. The omitted language relates to credits to
commercial haulers of residential waste and an analysis of past and projected expenses in the
solid waste di~~ision. This language, which had been inserted by ordinance no. 03-102, was not
included when ordinance no. OS-21 subsequently amended this section. As there exists no
indication that this omission was intentionah this bill seeks to rectify this error by replacing the
omitted language.
