Re: Acceptance of Donation
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, which
authorizes the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal
property, and with (2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawaii County Code,
which states that any donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization
procedures of the department of finance shall be submitted to the council by letter for its
approval, we request the Council's approval of the following donation:
A large clock (total estimated value of $50.00) to the Department of Parks 8 Recreation, to
display the time for the patrons and staff of the Kona Community Aquatic Center, by Ms.
Shirley A. Lea, 893 East Frederick Avenue, Fresno, CA. 93720-2559.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.
