RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $2,400 TO THE
HAWAI`1 COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Metal Recycling Company has donated $2,400 to the Hawaii County Police
Department; and
WFIEREAS, these funds will be used by the Kealakehe Police Station; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED DY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts the $2,400.
~E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. James Banigan III, General
Manager, Hawaii Metal Recycling Company, 91-056 Hanua Street, Campbell Industrial Park. Kapolei, Hawaii
96707, acknowledging this generous donation.
