SUB.TEC"I~: Bil] to Prohibit Solicitation of Votes Along Pu kic~Roads in the County
1?nclosed is a bill prohibiting solicitation of votes along public roads in the County.
'Chic bill amends Chapter 24, Article 9, Section 24-249, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition),
relating to pedestrians soliciting rides or business, to include language prohibiting solicitation of votes on
or in proximity to a street or highway.
I trust that you will place this bill on the agenda for the upcoming September 7 Public Safety
Committee meeting.
