Members of our business community have recently been following the
progress of Bill 123 and we would like to be given more opportunity to
learn more about the deve]opment of this property. This property must be reviewed
very carefully as it is in the Kailua Design district and rnnst be revieweJ f~~ iu impact
to Kailua Village In the past few years the traffic on Alii Drive has become so over
crowded wieh the number of automobiles each day that traffic aetu»Ily harks up through
out Kailua Vtllage In addition to heavy trafi'to, we have serious problems with public
parking
The Kailua Village Merchants Association is asking that this Bil] 123 be postponed until
we can have a Public Hearing in Kailua Kona. It is impor[ant that This public hearing
addresses all our concerns.
