Prom Public Works Director Bruce C. McClure, dated August 12, 2005, transmitting
the above bill. In A4ay 200?, when the cmrait version of Chapter 22 was adopted,
provisions Ibr Kanner Permits were included due to ambiguities in the Sign Code at
Ouu time On March 1. 2005, the County Council adopted a new Sign Code that now
includes a provision for Banner Permits under Section 3-9(a)(I I lawai'i County
Code. As a result, the older Banner Permit provisions in Chapter ~2 are no longer
needed and should be deleted to avoid duplication and confusion.
