Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 122, reports as follows:
Bill No. 122, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No 359,
dated July 11, 2005, amends Ordinance No. OS-87, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending
June 30, 2006, by adding the following project:
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT:
Planning for Waste Reduction Technology 1 ] 0-699-5691.50 $500,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund- $500,000
Fund Balance and/or other Sources
Funds will be used for planning, engineering and environmental consulting, and preparation of a
Request for Proposals for a waste reduction technology project.
During its discussion, Your Committee agreed to the following amendments:
1) To add a new SEC'f10N 3 to read as follows: "This appropriation is conditioned~on
the Finance Director maintaining direct and full control over the planning, engineering
and environmental consulting, and preparation of a request for proposals for a waste
reduction technologyproject."
2) The existing SECTION 3 will be renumbered to SECTION 4.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 122, as amended
to Draft 2, and recommends it pass first reading.
